Celebrating 25 years of healthcare logistics excellence at Triose
As we celebrate Triose’s 25th anniversary, we can’t help but reflect on the incredible journey that has brought us here. From humble beginnings in 1999, our story has been one of teamwork, perseverance, and a shared purpose: to continually set the industry standard for supply chain logistics by providing innovative strategic solutions for hospitals, health systems, and healthcare networks. Our primary objective is to surpass customer expectations while managing all components of their supply chain operations, ultimately helping our clients to realize savings.
This milestone isn’t just about us. It’s about the countless people who have contributed to our success—the health systems we’ve partnered with, the employees who have poured their hearts into their work, and the communities we’ve impacted along the way.
When Triose began, we had a simple goal: to deliver reliable supply chain solutions that health systems could trust. Over the years, we’ve grown from a small office with a handful of people to a thriving team dedicated to making a difference in healthcare logistics. Along the way, we’ve faced challenges, celebrated achievements, and embraced every opportunity to innovate.
- 1999: Triose was established by Carl “CJ” Joyner and Ira Tauber joins as President and co-owner
- 2004: Triose lands its first client with a major local hospital network
- 2005: Triose leases its first official office space
- 2006: Triose hires its first official full-time employee
- 2008: The Triose team grows to 10 employees
- 2010: Triose and UPS form an enterprise relationship
- 2012: Triose and a leading provider of PPE and essential medications announce a private label partnership
- 2013: Triose appears on the INC 5000 Fastest Growing Companies list
- 2017: Triose acquires part of Predicata in Providence, RI
- 2018: Triose begins partnership with a leading medical-surgical distributor
- 2021: Triose is acquired by AmerisourceBergen (now Cencora)
- 2022: First joint win collaborating with the Cencora team to sign with a major university’s pharmacy network
- 2023: Triose launches Courier Solutions pilot
- 2023: AmerisourceBergen rebrands as Cencora
- 2023: Nick Pierce named Vice President and General Manager of Triose upon the retirement of Ira Tauber
- 2023: Triose partners with ParcelShield to offer an enhanced real time tracking platform to Triose customers
Joining AmerisourceBergen (now Cencora) in 2021 was a pivotal chapter in our journey. It united us with a leading global pharmaceutical solutions organization committed to improving the lives of people and animals everywhere and expanded our ability to deliver transformative solutions. It’s a testament to how far we’ve come—and how much further we’re ready to go.
This year, we’ve continued to break new ground with exciting partnerships and innovative solutions, including enhanced shipping services with World Courier and our integration with Accelerate Pharmacy Solutions, Cencora's commitment to move pharmacy and supply chain forward by propelling a health system ahead.
- 2024: Triose partners with World Courier to offer enhanced shipping services, including technology and tracking for those highly time and temperature sensitive shipments in the research and cold chain pharmacy space
- 2024: Triose becomes a part of Accelerate Pharmacy Solutions helping health systems to simplify their supply chain to building new capabilities and services, enabling them to better serve their communities
