Hi everyone! My name is Meredith Finneran and I am a rising junior at Penn State, University Park. I am majoring in Finance with a minor in Supply Chain and Information Systems. Here at TRIOSE, I am a Program Performance Intern and I am loving it! I have been lucky enough to work alongside seven amazing team members who make my job interesting and fun each day. When I began my internship, I was very nervous because I was new to Excel and working in a business setting. My team members made me feel comfortable enough to never be afraid to ask any questions… even when I felt I had a million! Their patience and advice helped me get the most out of my experience here at TRIOSE.
In the beginning of my internship, I never imagined that I would learn as much as I have. As I approach my last few days, I am so appreciative to have been given the opportunity to work here because I know this internship has prepared me for the future. I started my internship logging information into our Excel workbooks, using our billing website to mark shipping, using Excel formulas to make a list of vendors I should contact, and emailing those vendors to make sure they were shipping on our UPS account number. I sat with many of my team members and listened to compliance calls. They even gave me the confidence to make calls myself, which helped create some of my funniest memories as I stumbled through trying to produce the correct answers. I was so appreciative when my boss gave me the opportunity to sit with the billing department because he knew that I was interested in learning about that department as well. This internship has kept me on my toes because I am constantly being introduced to new sides of our company and learning how it all fits together to make us successful. I really am going to miss working at TRIOSE and the people I have met throughout my internship.
