Meet Our New Executive Vice President Tom Wengrowski

Meet Our New Executive Vice President Tom Wengrowski

We are truly excited to have Tom Wengrowski join the TRIOSE team as Executive Vice President. Tom’s knowledge and strategic leadership will be invaluable as the company continues to grow and evolve, and we’re looking forward to him having a hand in shaping the future of TRIOSE.

We sat down with Tom to learn more about him professionally and personally. Check out the interview below, and you’ll know why we’re thrilled to have him on board. Welcome, Tom!

Q: Tell us about your new role at TRIOSE.
A: I’m responsible for all operational aspects of the business. This includes everything from bringing new clients on board to thrilling clients with our value. My focus is really to develop the best possible team and solutions at TRIOSE. I want our clients to genuinely believe that TRIOSE is the best at what we do.

Q: What did you do before coming to TRIOSE?undefined
A: I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of roles throughout my career. Just prior to joining TRIOSE, I was the Area Vice President for the North East Area at Penske Logistics. In that role I was responsible for all logistics operations as well as growth. I have worked in air freight, logistics engineering, operated warehouses, operated fleets and managed a number of 3PL operations. Spending quality time in a number of disciplines has given me a unique perspective on the business.

Q: What attracted you to TRIOSE?
A: The people, the vision and the value. Ira [Tauber] and CJ [Joyner] are just good people; that’s reflected in both the team and culture. TRIOSE is a place you want to hang your hat every day. The vision of the business and the industry we serve is challenging, rewarding and fun — there are not too many supply chain and logistics opportunities that are all three. The opportunity to create solutions and value for our clients and healthcare in general really cements it all. I believe in what we do and I enjoy it.

Q: What is one thing you want everyone to know about logistics management?
A: It can sound daunting, but like any problem, you need to break it down into manageable pieces. Having a great partner (like TRIOSE — shameless plug) helps clients make it manageable and, more importantly, actually implement solutions that address the challenges.

Q: Outside of the office, what do you like to do for fun?
A: Spend time outdoors with my family — especially when it’s warm and involves water.

Q: What’s your favorite movie or book? Why?
A: Anything that entertains, teaches or strikes a chord at that moment is good with me. I generally enjoy reading about travel, other cultures and history. I’m a Discovery Channel and A&E junkie.

Q: What is a little known trivia fact about yourself?
A: I graduated from high school in Germany. Technically it was “West” Germany at the time. Most people don’t realize we had so many soldiers in Europe from the ‘70s through the mid-‘90s that there were American military communities larger than many PA towns I drive through today. Although my family lived in a German town, the bases there had American schools, hospitals, churches, shopping, bowling alleys, movie theaters, Burger King…the works!
