TRIOSE Announces ‘Give Five’ Community Impact Program in Support of Children with Cancer

Healthcare logistics leader pledges to match and donate percentage of client savings to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation

Wyomissing, PA, March 25, 2014 – TRIOSE, Inc., a nationwide healthcare logistics management firm, today announced it is teaming up with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), a nonprofit dedicated to finding cures for all kids with cancer, to support the fight against pediatric cancer. Through the national charity component of its Give Five community impact program, TRIOSE pledges to match a portion of its clients’ collective savings generated from TRIOSE programs and donate those dollars to ALSF.

“We are extremely proud to be supporting ALSF in the search for a cure for childhood cancer,” said CJ Joyner, CEO of TRIOSE. “As a logistics company dedicated to making a difference in healthcare every day, partnering with an inspiring foundation like ALSF is not only rewarding, but is also a great fit with our overall mission to deliver healing.”

TRIOSE kicked off the program by presenting its first donation of $84,000 to ALSF. These funds will specifically support childhood cancer research, as well as ALSF’s “Travel Fund” that helps families pay for travel expenses as they venture far from their homes for treatment.

“Choosing a logistics provider isn’t just about dollars and cents,” added Joyner. “It’s about developing a partnership that will truly bring about change in healthcare. While the TRIOSE model reduces hospital and healthcare systems’ supply chain costs, it also invests dollars back where they matter most — ensuring that children with cancer receive the critical healthcare services they need.”

ALSF is a nonprofit organization that shares the vision of its founder and creator, Alexandra “Alex” Scott — a cure for all children with cancer. ALSF’s mission is to raise money and awareness of childhood cancer causes, primarily for cutting-edge cancer research into new treatments and cures, and to encourage and empower others, especially children, to get involved and make a difference for children with cancer.

“We are thrilled that TRIOSE has chosen ALSF as its 2015 charity of choice and for its generous support in raising funds and awareness for childhood cancer,” said Liz Scott, Co-Executive Director of the Foundation. “Through programs like Give Five, we are moving closer to making our daughter Alex’s dream — a cure for cancer — a reality.”

Give Five encompasses five pillars that represent how TRIOSE is making a positive impact on the community. In addition to the national charity component, it includes local volunteerism, veteran support, environmental sustainability and ethical conduct. About Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004). In 2000, 4-year-old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex held that first stand, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement, complete with thousands of supporters across the country carrying on her legacy of hope. To date, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a registered 501(c)3 charity, has raised more than $100 million toward fulfilling Alex’s dream of finding a cure, funding over 475 pediatric cancer research projects nationally.
