Of the tens of thousands of companies that have applied to the Inc. 5000 over the years, only a mere 1.5% of Inc. 5000 companies have made the list seven times.

To qualify for the Inc. 5000 list, companies must be privately owned, based in the United States and independent, but also meet several revenue benchmarks including 2016 revenue greater than $2 million. Companies are then ranked according to the percentage growth of their annual revenue over a three-year period.
